Tell us how long you have been playing MMORPG’s, including a brief history of which games you played and how long you actively played them (estimate):
I've always enjoyed computer games in general. My first real loves were Age of Empires and The Sims. Shadowbane was my first MMO, though. I began playing it about 3 months after the initial release, and barring a few breaks here and there, continued until it was closed down. Some years ago (3 maybe?) I threw WoW into the mix during one of those short breaks. I kept at it sporadically, but now have been playing that exclusively since the end of SB.
List your favorite MMORPG’s, and explain why these are your favorite:
I can say with confidence that Shadowbane will always be the best MMO I have ever experienced. I played for all 6 years (which is actually 25% of my life thus far). A few days before it was finally shut down over the summer, I realized that I had been engaged with SB longer than...
1) Any job I ever held
2) Any relationship I've ever had
3) Any length of time at the same school (college or otherwise)
4) Any length of time living in the same house
And probably a host of other things. To add a weird perspective to the mix: Even the guys who went to Vietnam and base their whole existence on that were not even over there for that long.
Yes it was "just a game," but I'm pretty sure anybody who really played it will say that it was also a bit more than that. It came from the extreme emphasis on teamwork and reliance on other people. Think on it a second-- You spend a few hours a night with the same group of people (guild) for so long (in my case, several years), it's inevitable that you'll eventually become more than acquaintances or guild-mates, sometimes even more than friends. That's what made SB great in my opinion. By forcing people to relate to one another on a personal level, it had the power to change lives (and did).
Plus, I'm good at it.
If you were able to make one change to Shadowbane, whether it be the way the company ran it, or a gameplay feature, what would you change to make it appeal to a wider audience of players?
Shadowbane has a targeted demographic. It's geared towards players who enjoy killing other players rather than slaying internet monsters. There's not much you can do to expand upon that. In my opinion though, the single most important thing you can do to retain those players is to
make sure everything works as intended. Bugs, exploits, crashes and the like plagued Shadowbane's release, and continue to be the bane (pun intended!) of many newly created MMOs. One of the most frustrating feelings for a gamer goes along the lines of "IF THIS PIECE OF CRAP ACTUALLY DID WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO, I WOULDNT H***E JUST DIED." That's the type of thing that drives people away.
Why the **** should we consider you?
That is a very good question, which deserves a multi-layered answer.
Let's not mince words! I understand probably 99.87% of what there is to understand about Shadowbane. I know it like the back of my hand, inside and out, back to front, front to back, from out the window, around the corner, over the river and through the woods. I have a thorough comprehension of and extensive experience with about every dimension of the game. I am also very humble.
I suppose I come with some positive character qualities too. Apart from my good looks and magnetic personality, it has been said that I am highly analytical. That is, in any given situation, my genius brain allows me to see and investigate things from every angle and every possible perspective. This is typically viewed as a good thing. I am also very humble.
You'll frequently find me lurking around the Braindrizzle section and various other places where game mechanics are discussed. My input is generally of the intelligent variety (albeit sometimes sharp), and demonstrates everything I've mentioned so far. The past week or so has been somewhat rough though, because of the increasing stupidity of the forum populace. I am also very humble.
What it really comes down to is, I love Shadowbane. I've been accused of being married to it! All I want is for it to be restored (and not suck), and believe working directly with the project will greatly help that goal be realized. I posted somewhere a while ago, what I thought at the time to be just a clever response, but what has now come to flash through my head almost every time I log into these forums: "This is a brainstorm, and I'm the umbrella protecting SB from all this acid rain." Design Team or not, I intend to uphold that to the best of my abilities.
I am also very humble.

(看到这里,有个疑问,他的教育跟游戏程序设计一点关系都没有,而且又没有相关的工作经历。。。怎么也进了团队。。。)
下面的内容我就不想看了,都是精神鼓舞。。。。
