hey,awa.I think "xiao"(晓）is pretty good.First reason is it could be read as shaw.It's easy to pronounce for western people.In chinese it also means a good thing what can be related to angle.It means dawn(and another meaning is well knowing).So,I think you should better take this name.

my suggestion is keep it one word.
for ex,chun li in street fighters.actually,chun li is the name.and she don't have a family name as i know.
and if you want a full name,thing will be more complicated.as you know,yao ming(famous chinese basket ball player),if we read it in western if should be ming yao.westerner always call him yao as they think it's his name and actually it's a family name.so,it'll be so confused.
the most importnant thing is one word name is cool and mystical.

and this name westerner can easier accept

我不太了解西方读中文名字的习惯，但就象火锅说的,他们称呼姚明也是叫他“姚”的，也就是称呼姓。
西门是一个中国的姓，它的发音很接近Simon，这个Simon可是12圣徒之一，这样称呼一个天使难道不是更容易被西方人接受吗？
（我的英文还没到雄辩的地步，麻烦楼下翻译）

awa决定那人的名字,也就是given name是晓....不是姓(family name)肖 [要查看本图请先注册并登录]

国外的familyname是在后面,中国是在前面,比如"姚明","姚"就是他的姓.按照西方的说法,他的family name就是"姚",given name就是"明"

rainy兄，西蒙是中国人音译simon时所用的，而且si很容易混淆中文拼音的概念被很多国人称为si:men。
但实际上simon这个名字应该发音为saimen。所以么...
